Highlights: A slight decrease in utilization metrics compared to pre-COVID baselines was observed for December 2022 compared to November 2022 with the exception of ambulatory surgery which was 2% above the pre-COVID baseline. Acute care admissions went from -17% below baseline in November to -20% this month, while emergency department visits decreased from -22% to -27% this month. Although St. Elizabeths Hospital showed their highest number of admissions in the 15 months presented in Table 7 of the full report, psychiatric admissions overall showed the lowest volume compared to baseline going from -25% below baselines in November to -35% in December (See Fig. 1).
