District of Columbia hospitals work every day to deliver compassionate, quality and safe patient care, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. The District of Columbia Hospital Association (DCHA) is honored to highlight the incredible work of our member hospitals and their champions through a generous contribution from Ascension Health.
DCHA will present awards to two individuals; one clinical professional and one non-clinical professional who are rising to the challenge and supporting resiliency in the hospitals each and every day, including the pandemic, and who exemplify:
Award submissions must showcase how individuals go above and beyond normal daily work to manage and support hospital staff, patients, caregivers and the community. Awards will be presented during the Patient Safety & Quality Summit, June 8, 2022. Nomination deadline is March 15, 2022.
Submissions must showcase an individual’s invaluable dedication, commitment and unwavering efforts in managing and supporting hospital staff, patients, caregivers and community.
Clinical Category: $2,500
Individual who provides direct patient care both credentialed and non-credentialed. Examples include, but not limited to, nurse (all levels), physician (all levels), patient care technician, hospitalist, social worker, care coordinator, psychologist, dietitian, etc.
Non-Clinical Category: $2,500
Individuals who provide support services to staff, patients and caregivers in the hospital setting. Examples include, but not limited to, environmental health service, security, food service, volunteer services, patient transporter, administration, human resources, IT, device reprocessing, and administrative assistants.
DCHA will collect the submissions for screening and evaluation by applying the award criteria. Submissions will be rated and reduced to two individual award winners. Judging will be performed by an anonymous committee appointed by the DCHA leadership. DCHA will send confirmation letters to winners. All decisions are final.
