ECRI Institute PSO Webinar: Collecting and Analyzing Meaningful Data to Reduce Falls

The ECRI Institute continues its series of webinars available to District of Columbia hospitals. The next webinar will take place on Thursday, July 21st from 1:30-2:30 and is entitled “Collecting and Analyzing Meaningful Data to Reduce Falls.”  This webinar provides an overview of how to use fall data for Patient Safety, Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) efforts. They will discuss data needs beyond the initial incident report to best analyze and trend falls-related behaviors within your organization and how to use this data in decision making. Strategies such as interventions, measurement, monitoring and evaluation will be presented as elements in developing successful Performance Improvement Plans that lead to genuine improvement.

This is a free course being offered as part of the Department of Health’s Adverse Events Reporting contract with ECRI. Applications will be made for 1.0 nursing contact hour through their California state nursing contact hour provider but in order to be eligible each attendee must log on separately.  Please forward this information to others in your organization who may be interested.
