Study: 270,000 healthcare jobs needed in D.C. area by 2020

Maryland, Virginia, and D.C. are expected to add nearly 270,000 healthcare jobs by the year 2020, according to a study by the Georgetown University Center on Education and the Workforce.

All three jurisdictions are expected to experience labor growth rates of more than 20 percent. Maryland and Virginia are each expected to need more than 110,000 healthcare practitioners and supporters.  more…  Washington Business Journal, June 21, 2012
